Companions & Home Helpers was established in 2002, is locally owned and operated. We provide quality home care services to help you maintain your independence. As the population of America’s seniors continue to grow, more and more seniors are finding ways to reside in the comfort of their own home. Individuals have found the key to living a healthier and happier life by having the good fortune to remain at home. We will help you find the peace of mind you deserve in providing the best care for your aging loved ones. Our caregivers assist seniors with the activities of daily living in the comfort of their own home and provide the quality companionship that is needed and valued by elders.

Companions & Home Helpers LLC specializes in non-medical in-home care, elder care, senior care, new mom postnatal care, patient care and rehabilitation care for a few hours per week up to 24 hours per day. Our programs are flexible and can be arranged to provide care anytime, day or night, to fit your needs. Our caregivers are our employees, not subcontractors. They have been thoroughly screened, interviewed, formally trained, bonded and insured. You will find our service to be affordable and convenient and our professional staff to be trusted, reliable and courteous.

The mission of Companions & Home Helpers is to encourage healthy and active daily living for loved ones by providing personalized, non-medical supplemental home care. Our services assist the elderly, individuals with disabilities and ailments, expectant moms, & new families that require and desire assistance with daily activities.

Most people prefer to remain in the privacy and comfort of their own home, but Companions and Home Helpers provide help anywhere a family needs us – at home, in the hospital, at a rehabilitation center, nursing home, retirement community, etc.  We are available to help from 2 to 24 hours a day, seven days a week at your convenience.

Our History

2000 - Opening

Companions and Home Helpers was established with a mission to help elderly people remain independent in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

2001 - Registered and Licensed as Homemaker Companion Agency with DCP and DPH

Companions and Home Helpers is bonded, gets registered with the Department of Consumer Protection, and licensed with the Department of Public Health.

2002 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in East Hartford, CT

Companions and Home Helpers opens its first office in East Hartford.

2002 - Enrolled as provider with CT Homecare Program for Elders

Companions and Home Helpers enrolls as a CT Home Care Service Provider and starts working with access agencies (CCCI and Agency on Aging).

2012 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in New London, CT

Companions & Home Helpers opens its second location in New London.

2014 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in North Haven, CT

Companions and Home Helpers opens a third location in North Haven.

2015 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in Willimantic, CT

Companions and Home Helpers opens a location in Willimantic after closing its location in New London.

2017 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in Mystic, CT

Companions and Home Helpers opens its fourth location in Mystic.

2018 - Grand Opening of CHH Office in Fairfield, CT

Companions and Home Helpers opens its fifth location in Fairfield.
