Testimonials

“Sometimes I work two shifts a day and I have to take care of my mom who needs care. Thanks to Companions and Home Helper, their nurses are understanding and caring.”

"I was in an important position in my office and now a new single mother. I need to attend a crucial meeting as they needed my expertise (always in need to save the job). Luckily companions and home helpers was referredby my friend to take care of my child for 3 hours during the time it was in meeting. Such a parental care... I love em...”

“In the final days of Marion’s life Nana provided Marion with great care and offered every comfort in loving and dignified manner. Nana was also very kind and friendly with my sister Carroll and I as we spent more and more time with Marion near the end. It meant a great deal to us that she was so calm and in control and focused on Marion’s needs. She was able to handle little emergencies, like the O2 machine failing, mostly on her own with only phone calls to alert us to the situations. We never doubted that Marion was never in good hands. I would like to also thank Companions & Home Helpers for always providing coverage when needed for personal time off, and each temporary person who filled in was always pleasant and helpful.”

“In eleven years of coordinating home-based care for my father, I have dealt with dozens of CNAs. Nana is among top three nurses that I have employed. I have come to know Nana fairly well, and I have been extremely impressed with the kindness and solicitude Nana has shown for my father. I like Nana, I respect her as a parent, and I respect her religious faith.”

“We have been using the services of your agency now for almost 10 months and most of that time with the employment of Adwoa as my parent’s caretaker. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how pleased we have been with Adwoa’s dedications and diligence to keeping my parents in good care and happiness in their failing years. Without her tirelessly tending to their every need, I firmly believe that they would not both be with us today. I never cease to amaze at the difficulty of her tasks and how well she accomplishes them.”

“As a health aide, Philomina’s thoroughness, diligence, and professionalism were impeccable. She was one of the most effective, intelligent, and responsible aides my parents had working for them over a 5 year period from 2005-2010. (my parents had several aides as they came and went from nursing homes). Philomena could always be counted on, whatever the situation. As a nursing aide, a cook, and fortunately a compassionate companion and friend as well, I always felt at ease with my mother under Philomina’s competent care. Philomina simply had things under control. If she needed to confer on something – my mother’s medical condition, and important message or household need – we knew she would call us, but it seemed those times were few.”
